Babies & Toddlers

Parent/carer actively involved

Exploring movement, music and design concepts. With a focus on engaging children in creative exploration these sessions are a lovely way to be with your little child and see how they play to learn and learn to play. We utilise diverse music sources including classical and ethnic styles. Your child will be introduced to simple percussion instruments and encouraged to interact with other children. No special gear required! Just bare feet and lots of layers to peel off if you get hot!

Three & Four Year Olds

Parent / carer not usually involved

Acting more independently, just like at kindergarten, these sessions explore body actions, and dynamics of movements of a range of music sources, styles, instruments and body percussion. Children are exploring shapes and ways of moving in response to various dance ideas and styles of music. Puppets, stories and drama ideas are introduced, along with use of voice and musical instruments are also explored.

Creative Movement & Music Programme

For very young children in a relaxed & enjoyable environment

At Dance Play they will hear classical music, world music, folk songs, opera, nursery rhymes, modern music and almost any sort of music (except commercial kids music, which they hear everywhere else).
