Dance, Movement and Music (DMM) ~ Creative Arts 2012 Workshops In 2012 we are pleased to offer workshop style sessions (not performance focussed) which are designed to cater for children and teens with additional educational needs. With a wide range of music and props we use creative approaches focusing on:
My interest in dance and movement for students (DMM) in specialist schooling began in the early 1990s during a Grad Dip in Dance and Movement which gave me opportunity to work at Kew Adult Training Support Service (Kew Cottages), and Andale School. Having since worked with Kew Adult Training Support Service, Westernport Leisure Link-up, Yooralla, Life Skills at Box Hill North Neighbourhood House (Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme) and a range of other groups who can enjoy and benefit from specially devised movement based programmes due to physical, intellectual, developmental or social needs I am pleased to now invite you to consider joining these sessions. Please note that no special equipment or clothing is required – just easy to move in clothing and a name labelled water bottle. A family discount of 15% applies if you enrol more than one child, or you have other classes that your family attend. If some of the participants would benefit from having a helper with them then that may be discussed at the point of enrolment. DMM Kids Club 4:30-5:45pm Friday afternoons for students aged 8-12 (approx Year 2-6) DMM Teens Club 6-7:30pm Friday evenings for students aged 13+ (approx Year 6-12) (please eat prior)
Enrolment enquiries should directed to Joanne via BDC Dance office phone 9888 3354 or email info@bdcdance.com.au. Please remember some of you may be able to get funding support for this programme. Regards
