Joanne Watt, BDC Principal, has been managing BDC Dance since 1994 and aside from a wide range of teaching experiences – in age, ability and style - she has longstanding involvement in community theatre. Joanne is a Life Member of the Hartwell Players Inc, based at Ashwood College, and also co-ordinates a Youth Performing Arts Summer School for the Victorian Drama League Inc. She has also choreographed recently for Babirra Music Theatre’s Kismet. Apart from choreography for theatre she has a strong interest in costume design and production. 2011 sees Joanne taking a sabbatical from face-to-face teaching in order to focus on special projects for the benefit of BDC Dance students.
