Amongst her diverse credits, Cate has performed as part of Melbourne United Cheerleaders and with Planetshakers at Hisense Arena as well as National Gallery of Victoria for the David Hockney, Viktor&Rolf, and Andy Warhol Exhibitions and much more. Cate has also appeared in Neighbours, 31 Questions, Wentworth, as well as TIMS – ‘I’m Sorry” music video, and a Devi Sri Prasad music video.
With over 20 years of experience, providing her with Cecchetti and Royal Academy of Dance ballet training, she joined the faculty at BDC Dance in 2017 passing on her knowledge to students, after being a BDC student herself since 2007.
Cate has excelled in her dance education within VCE and VET courses, awarding her a Certificate II and partial completion of Certificate III in Dance as well as many awards from Victorian Performing Arts Challenge, ComDance as well as VCE and VET Dance Competitions. Cate now continues studying movement and exercise through her Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science at Deakin, as well as continuing to perform herself. She is excited for the future of her dance and entertainment career, as well as for the futures and growth of her students.
As a teacher, Cate values the variety of personalities of each of her students and incorporates them in her class routines. As she is also a Youth Mentor with The Salvation Army, she believes that children work best when happy and respected and aims to make dance an enjoyable social activity as well as a disciplined and challenging practice.
